This writer/performer’s works are always very guitaristic, and unfailingly melodic and easy on the ear. The first CD consists of thirteen published compositions, either from Les Productions D’Oz of Canada, or Editions Soldano of France, with several movements to many of them, resulting in no less than thirty nine tracks. So one realizes from this that most of his pieces are short and to the point, and indeed only two are more than three minutes long. The second CD is the unpublished material and has twenty one tracks in all, with only one making it over the three minute mark, so don’t expect any Sonatas or extended movements from these CDs, just merely tuneful short pieces extremely well played and recorded and making for ideal listening material (and moreover in the case of CD1, ideal pieces for playing and teaching that are readily available)

It seems almost churlish to pick pieces out from this vast set but there are two very clever duets (both parts played by Di Mosole) , Santa Fe, and La Noche Argentina that are worthy pieces indeed, being lots of fun, full of interesting part- writing and worthy concert material. The opening suite of 5 movements called Suite Elegiaque dedicated to Arnaud Dumond is also one of the highlights. From the second CD the Venezuela Hommage a Antonio Lauro, and Choro No1 are two of the best tracks but everything here is worth a listen, especially if your liking is for well – crafted miniatures.
