This is an intriguing album right from the outset, because immediately you find that every track is full of a multitude of different wind, string, and percussion instruments, and yet the digital sites just say that the various tracks are either Richard Harvey or Richard Craker, and no other information is given, in spite of my looking all over the place to see if anyone did go into more detail. So, having read up on the fact that both men are in fact multi instrumentalists and exceedingly talented writers too, I can only assume that every track is indeed the work of both men, and that they have provided all the instruments you can hear.
So, with that assumption in mind I set about listening to this beautifully produced and performed album from 2021, and loved every minute of it. Richard Harvey is particularly known for writing the Guitar Concerto , Concerto Antico, as performed and recorded most successfully by John Williams, and often played on Classic FM radio, so it should be no surprise that the music is haunting, emotional and great to listen to throughout, as are also the pieces of Richard Craker.
There are no standout tracks here simply because everything you hear is wonderful and quite original in concept, and definitely worth listening to if you like your music warm , and full of meaning and emotive qualities. So if my words intrigue, go and search it out. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!
