This album begins very dynamically with an up-tempo piece from Chick Corea, very Spanish/Flamenco in style, and immediately you notice that the guitar is layered, and since the other performers on this album are playing keyboards and percussion, i can only assume that Oscar Sher is multi – tracking his parts, not that that is a problem, but rather information for you, the readers, just in case that makes a difference, should you want to buy it.

The next track, co – written by Charles Aznavour is one I haven’t come across before, but again the parts being played are several, and one does notice that the sound is very clear, and wonderfully produced. The next track is by Nino Rota, and is a well – known piece, although he has, interestingly, moved it into a waltz rhythmed 3 / 4 rather than how it was originally written. Again this is a lovely version. The slow movement of Rodrigo’s Concierto De Aranjuez is vastly edited form its original size to a 3-minute version, so don’t expect this to be the original guitar part in any way.

For the rest of the album, it is very listenable, but if it has a fault it is that it is all very middle – of- the- road and aimed I suggest at the listener who likes his music pleasant but very much in the background, and probably not too much for an avid classical guitar listener, but I could be entirely wrong on this. It is after all, very well played, very nicely produced with some very clear sound , but does tend to have one sort of a sound all the way through.
