Michel Dalle Ave
Les Productions D’Oz : 3 pages
This piece named after a French holiday resort and dedicated to the composers’ sister Annick is in the key of Bm and like others of his pieces I have seen moves around in imaginative arpeggios, with the melody interwoven around. It has a pleasant melody and harmonies and there are some individual moments when the fingering given is important and not immediately obvious until you understand what the composer is getting at.
It is short at only 3 or so minutes long but yet again, he has managed to write a piece that will endear itself to players without them needing an advanced technique to cope with it. I can see it being popular with many different players and audiences too.
