I have not come across this player before but an album full of one of the greatest song writing duos ever to grace this planet (And two pieces by George Harrison as well)sounded a wonderful idea. So when the first track came on, The Fool on the Hill, I was quite disappointed with the rather stilted performance and the unimaginative arrangement.
Let be didn’t change my mind any either, as again it was the correct tune, but the arrangement was nothing like the actual song recording , but just the tune set to another arrangement altogether which didn’t do it any favours.
One or two of the performances weren’t that bad, but as a lover of the Beatles, I was dreadfully disappointed at the end result, and felt this home produced recording left a lot to be desired.
